About Me
Living in the Pacific Northwest has given me a deep appreciation of the natural world. On any given weekend you can find me outdoors, hiking, kayaking, or otherwise breathing in the forest air. I am forever in awe of the intricacies of nature, and draw a great deal of inspiration from this, instilling adaptability and multifacetedness into both my personal and professional life.
In college I studied fine arts, where I gained a solid understanding of the elements and principles of art. I worked in decorative art production for 10 years, developing exceptional precision and problem solving skills. I began freelancing in 2017, primarily working with a small Portland based design and development firm. It was there that I fell in love with branding and web design.
I took a position with a high volume production and wholesaling business where I proved to be versatile and meticulous in my work, but after some time outside of creative industries, I felt the design world calling me back. I earned a UI design certificate from CareerFoundry to add a new field to my repertoire and jump start my reentry into visual design. I’m thrilled to be back in the industry, and finally following my passion full-time.
